Alzheimers assoc urges better staffing and higher salaries for doctors
Doctors who are being paid more than twice their average salary by private health insurers are being pressured to stay closer to home as the government tries 호 게임to address high wait times in the field.
An association of doctors and health professionals is calling o더킹 카지노n Health Minister Kelvin Hopkins to increase salary guarantees for doctors.
“The situation in medical training and practice continues to deteriorate, while patient-centered care is becoming less accessible to many patients in Australia,” the group said in a statement.
It said the new policy proposed by the Health Minister in the new year would help physicians get a little more money while saving patients time.
“The new law will allow doctors to be paid twice their average pay for the same work. Currently, two doctors are paid the same amount for equivalent medical care.
“This will help to ensure doctors remain in local and regional areas where they should not be. These doctors will also be able to get two full years of medical training to reflect their skills and experience.”
It added: “The new law will increase the pay and allowances given to doctors who work in regional and rural areas as well as the pay of a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.”
Some doctors have expressed concerns with the plans, saying the current health system is expensive and the new plans raise the cost.
Meanwhile, the Victorian Health Information Service said the government’s plans will result in a spike in costs from hospitals.
It said the proposed increases in pay for doctors may include a $7 million to $15 million increase in hospital costs by 2017.
The health service said that at the moment, about 20 per cent of all doctors are unionised.
But Dr Michael Rimmer, spokesman for the association of public and private hospital doctors, said a major problem facing many hospitals is that there is no incentive for new hospital graduates to become full-time doctors.
“I think the public is fed up with what’s going on around hospitals,” Dr Rimmer said.
“If we do something to reduce costs we need to look at what we’re going to be able to deliver for hospital fees – what does that mean for hospitals?
“You’ve got these people who are working a two-week weekend, six to 10-day pay and they need to move off that and start looking at how do we get them 마사지 후기to return to work and do the training and get their qualifications in the first place.”
